| ID: 1-050801 | | Question: | | Where can I find the last public release of Orb version 1.0? | | Solution: | If you have downloaded and tried Orb 2.0 but wish to revert to the previous official release of Orb 1.0, do the following:
- Completely clean up your system of all Orb traces using the Orb Cleanup
utility.
- Select the latest released Orb v1.0 for your location.
The current US version is v1.01.0695 which now uses Orb's own TV grabber instead of XMLTV.exe for TV Listings. All other 1.0 versions (incl. the Canadian version) are v1.01.0694.
The main difference in these Orb versions besides language is: the US, Canada, France, Germany and Japan versions generate a TV guide, whereas all other versions include instead a TV channel scan utility (OrbChannelScan) which will attempt to detect local TV channels or let users manually enter them: no TV guide is available for those versions at this time.
- Important: With Orb version 1.0, you must log on to my.orb.com (not mycast.orb.com)
