Orb had to develop a client application (OrbLive) for iPhone/ iPod touch due to the lack of native support for RTSP (Real time streaming protocol) or Flash support on these devices, needed to facilitate live streaming and to stream certain video formats that are not iPhone/iPod compatible.

The constraints via safari browser is that you would be able to stream only pre-encoded iPhone compatible videos (e.g. H264 .m4v files) and won't be able to stream non compatible file formats (e.g. avi & wmv). Apart from the limitations with certain video formats, you won't be able to stream Webcam/ Live Tv on iPhone/iPod Touch using Safari/myfox browser via Orb.
