How do I stream Live TV, videos and webcam to my iPhone (or iPod Touch)? (Requires iPhone software 2.x)

There are two steps in the setup for streaming media (including live TV and all video formats) via OrbLive. First, you need to download Orb and install it on your Windows PC or MAC OS-X (Intel 10.5 or later)^*, and then you need to purchase and install OrbLive on your iPhone (or iPod Touch).

This is the Orb streaming application which will turn your home PC / Mac into your personal media server. Click here to download Orb for your PC or Mac OS-X (Intel 10.5 or later).
 

1.  Download Orb and install it on your Windows XP (with Service Pack 2 or later) or Vista PC, or Windows 7 or on your MAC OS-X (Intel 10.5 or later).

2.  Create / Add your Orb login and password when prompted during the installation

3.  To watch live TV or live cam you will need an Orb supported TV tuner or an USB webcam attached to your PC.

4.  Leave your PC / Mac on and connected to the Internet.

Note: By default, Orb will index your My Music / My Videos / My Photos / My Documents folders on your startup drive. If you have media on another location then Click Orb tray icon (small green icon on your system tray) > Click Configuration > Click Media > Click Add > Select and navigate to your media folder you wish to add to OrbMedia. You're done!

Please note that OrbLive requires Orb PC version 2.55.0091 (or later) for it to stream your media on to your iPhone (or iPod Touch). Existing Orb users who intend to stream their media via OrbLive are requested to make sure that they have Orb PC version 2.55.0091 (or later) on their home PC/Mac. To check your current Orb PC version, click the green Orb tray icon on your system tray, then select About…".

*  Currently we do not support Live TV on Mac.

Step 2: Purchase & Install OrbLive on your iPhone (or iPod Touch)

OrbLive is a small client application that you install on your iPhone (or iPod Touch) to stream your media (Photos, Music, Videos, Live TV/ Webcam) from anywhere.

a.  Tap on the App store icon on your iPhone (or iPod Touch).

 

b.  Tap on Categories >> Entertainment and then navigate to OrbLive or Click on Search and in the search field enter OrbLive.

 

c.  On the OrbLive product page, click on Buy now.

 

d.  Once installed, you will find OrbLive icon on your iPhone (or iPod Touch) home screen

 

e.  Tap on OrbLive icon, it will prompt you to enter Orb login and "Password.

 

f.   Enter the Orb login and password you created when you installed Orb on your PC/ Mac.

 

g.  You’re done! Enjoy!

Option Two

   Purchase OrbLive on iTunes, and then sync them to your iPhone (or iPod Touch).

a.  Visit http://www.apple.com, navigate to App Store and click on the link View the App Store in iTunes or open iTunes on your PC/ Mac and navigate to App Store.

 

b.  In iTunes stores, navigate to Entertainment category to find OrbLive or search for "OrbLive" using the search option.

 

c.  On OrbLive product page, click on Buy now.

 

d.  Once iTunes downloads OrbLive, sync your device to get OrbLive on iPhone (or iPod Touch).

 

e.  Tap on OrbLive icon, it will prompt you to enter Orb login and Password.

 

f.   Enter the Orb login and password you created when you installed Orb on your PC/ Mac.

 

g.  You’re done! Enjoy!
