To stream Live TV in Orb, Orb recommends the following minimum configuration:
  • a broadband Internet connection (Cable, DSL, etc.)
  • an AMD Athlon 3200+ processor or equivalent, or Intel Pentium IV 2.4Ghz processor or equivalent with 1GB RAM (Note that a slower processor may cause excessive buffering, "stuttering", or "choppiness" when streaming TV or videos)
  • an Orb-compatible TV tuner correctly installed and working
  • a Set-Top Box and USB IR Blaster, if you have a Satellite TV service (such as DirecTV or Dish Networks) or a Cable TV service that has premium channels delivered through a cable box
  • Windows XP (incl. MCE 2004/2005) with SP2, or Vista* (any of the 4 flavors) or Windows 7
To setup Live TV, Right click the green Orb tray icon on your PC

If you have installed 2.01 (To know the Orb version - click Orb tray icon > About)

Select Configuration, then click Setup TV signal and provider: follow the Orb TV setup wizard.

If you have installed 2.5x or later

Select Control Panel > then click TV > Depending on your requirement, select analog or digital tuner detected by Orb .

Note: you can view Setup Options for TV on Orb's Web site, or browse Live TV & webcams section of the Orb Support Knowledge Base.

* At this time, the Orb IR blaster program (for changing local TV channels on a set-top box) does not work on Vista Home Basic and Business editions.
