Why do I get a "Tuner not installed" error from MCE, right after I exit Orb?

If you attempt to play TV on your Media Center application while Orb is running or immediately after exiting Orb (i.e., before Orb releases the tuner), Media Center will produce this error message.

To allow the OrbTV streamer program enough time to stop running and release your TV tuner after streaming TV, you must wait at least one minute before launching your Media Center application.

This is a MCE issue (on Media Center Edition 2004 and 2005) as, if it fails to detect your tuner once, it will not check again, but instead will produce the same error message again, even several minutes after Orb has released the tuner. The only way to enable Media Center to regain control of your tuner after it produces this error message is to completely reboot your PC to re-load your tuner drivers.

Note: Even if you have a dual-tuner in your Media Center PC, since Orb also has a dual-tuner functionality and will consequently automatically initialize your 2 tuners, this problem will occur. There is no way at this time to configure Orb to use a specific tuner and ignore another one in a dual-tuner system.
