Orb cannot change Live TV channels on my set-top box? |

**** This article is applicable only for 2.0x series of Orb ****
(To know your Orb version, click Orb tray icon - About) If your TV setup includes a set-top box, to change Live TV channels in Orb you need an USB Infra-Red (IR) Blaster such as the ones included in Microsoft MCE-compatible Remote Control devices.
To configure your IR Blaster in Orb, do the following:
Connect your USB IR blaster to your Orb PC
Place the eye of the IR blaster in front of your set-top box infra-red receiver
Run Orb TV configuration (through the Orb tray icon > Configuration > Setup TV Signal and Provider)
When prompted, Select Channel 2, 3 or 4 (or Composite, or S-Video) as applicable per your TV setup
Vista Home Premium / Vista Ultimate (make sure your IR Blaster works perfectly on Media Center):
Select "I watch Live Tv through my Media Center Application"
Click Next and Enter your ZIP, Select your TV Provider from the list.
All other Windows / Vista Platforms:
Click Detect and point your set-top box remote (not the Microsoft remote) to the IR blaster eye and press "0", so Orb can detect your remote. If it cannot detect your set-top box remote, try the key-by-key Learn function for which you must place your set-top box remote no further than 1 inch away from the IR blaster eye.
When done, log on to your Orb account (at mycast.orb.com) on your Orb PC or any other PC and click Open Application > TV/Webcams > Program Guide > select a TV channel and click Play, then select next on your player to see if Orb switches to the next channels.
Note: Orb does not support serial IR blasters. If the eye of your IR blaster does not blink when you press your remote code, chances are that your IR blaster is not supported by Orb.
