Is there a version of Orb for PDA or phones?

There is no client version of Orb(except for iPhone/iPod Touch), or setup or configuration of any kind required for your Orb client device (i.e., PDA, phone, etc.). All you need for your Web-enabled device is a media player with streaming capabilities, that is, a phone or PDA that can stream – not just play locally – Windows media (.ASX), Real media (.RAM,.RM) or 3GP media (.SDP).

Here is how it works

You install Orb on your Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7 home PC or Mac : the setup wizard prompts you to create an Orb login and password.

Once the Orb installation successfully completes, a green Orb tray icon appears in the taskbar / menu bar of your Windows desktop / Mac

Point your device’s browser to http://mycast.orb.com and log in to your Orb account with the login and password you created: Orb connects your device to your home PC / Mac

That’s it! You can start streaming your media.

Note: The above response doesn’t apply to iPhone/iPod Touch. Please click here to know the advantages of OrbLive (Orb’s client app for iPhone/iPod Touch) vs. using Safari browser to access your media via Orb.
