**** This article is applicable only for 2.0x series of Orb ****
(To know your Orb version, click Orb tray icon - About) To completely remove all traces of Orb from your system, uninstall Orb either: a) by running the Orb uninstall utility in your Windows Start > All Programs > Orb Networks > Orb > Uninstall; or
b) through the Add/Remove Programs feature of your Windows Control Panel.
When using either one of the above methods, make sure you check the Delete user settings checkbox before clicking the “Finish” button at the end of this uninstall, as this will delete your Orb media database (which, if corrupted, could be the cause of Orb’s failure to properly run on your system). If your Orb installation was unsuccessful and never completed You may neither have an Orb program group in your Windows Start menu, nor see Orb listed in your Windows Add/Remove Programs, if you have had a botched installation which was aborted before completion. In such case, download and run OrbCleanupTool.exe, the Orb removal utility. This little program will completely remove all Orb program files, databases and registry entries from your system, and allow you to perform a fresh installation of Orb again. Note: If you cannot run the OrbCleanupTool utility on your operating system (Windows 98, etc), you can do a manual removal of Orb as follows:
