Playing TV shows on Mycast

Setup your Program Guide (US users only)
Upon first installation, if you are in the US, you will see a dialog box inviting you to set-up your Zip code. Follow the menu prompts to get set-up with your Guide. It may take a few minutes for the Guide application to be populated with your data the first time you use it.
After first loading of the data, you can then customize your Mini Guide on your Mycast Homepage.

You can customize your Mini Guide as you wish (move your cursor to the title bar then click the
button to change settings)
Click on the button to confirm your changes and exit the customization panel.

Browse and play my TV channels
The Classic Guide allows you to view what's on now, in the future (*), and even in the past! * up to two weeks in the US, and length may vary in other countries.
Note that programs are color coded by genre: light blue for "Entertainment / Magazine", blue for "Baseball/Local/Sports Stuff", orange for "Local/Newscast" and Green for "Comedy/Sitcom"

Search for a program
You can search the Guide by entering your keywords in the search box then hit "Enter". Click on "Program Guide" in the navigation tree to exit your search result listings.

Changing date
You can view the program listings up to two weeks in advance by using the "calendar" tool and selecting the date you want.

The "properties" module will provide detailed information about the program you select in the Guide.

Playing a TV program

Record a Show
| Record now Using the default settings will start recording the current show right away.

| Schedule a single recording You can schedule a recording by choosing the date and time at which to start the recording.
 |
| Schedule multiple recordings You can schedule multiple recordings by choosing the frequency at which to repeat it. The first recording will happen on the date and time selected.

Did you know?
- You can define how long you would like to keep a recording in the "Keep until" dropdown.
- You can change the name of a scheduled recording. This is especially useful if you want to record multiple content with the same name.
- You can access your recorded content and scheduled recordings in the navigation tree under "Recorder".
Add and play Custom Channels

Select Custom Channels
Open TV/Webcam and select "Internet TV" from the navigation tree.

Click Add Custom
Click on Add Custom in the toolbar.

Add a Custom Channel Dialog box
You must enter a name and a URL for your new channel. Click Submit and your new channel will be added to your list of Custom Channels.

Tagging a channel
You can now select a channel and start tagging it in the property box.

Playing Custom Channels

You can either:
- Double click a Custom Channel will start playing it automatically
- Select a custom channel and press the play button.

Did you know?
- Selecting multiple Custom Channels and pressing play will create a playlist and open it in your favorite media player. You can then switch between channels by pressing the previous and next buttons.

Set and stream only favorite channels

Move your cursor to any channel name, on the Mini Guide or when in the Classic Guide view: a pop-up menu will show-up. You can set this channel as favorite by giving it a ranking using our star system... you can add your favorite keywords in the "Tags" section, and even change the Description! Tags are fully searchable.

You can then view your favorite channels by selecting "Favorite Channels" under Program Guide.
